Keep homeowner care limited to accessible items and normal controls.

- Keep the supply registers and return grilles you normally use open and uncovered.

What a professional visit may review
The exact scope depends on the equipment and the service requested. A professional visit may include the following checks when applicable.
- Thermostat settings, controls, and the system’s start-operate-stop cycle.
- Electrical connections, voltage and current at motors, and moving components.
- Condensate drainage and evidence of water backup.
- Evaporator and condenser coils, blower components, and system airflow.
- Refrigerant condition and charge using appropriate service equipment.
